Enjoy Paris City Breaks

Paris city breaks are an enchanting idea, and are especially easy to book if you live in the UK and buy an all inclusive weekend package. With Eurostar travel you are able to reach Paris from London in just over two hours, so there is no excuse not to avail yourself of this.

Staying for only one day is really pushing it a bit, but it is more than feasible, however what could be better than popping off to the City of Light for a quick weekend away. You don’t have to trouble yourself with hours and hours of traveling time, just plan a weekend of sleep, walking, fun, good food and wine, great views and shopping of course.

If you are only staying for a day, don’t worry about seeing the Louvre, this takes a full day in itself. The louver will still be there when you return. Try to pack lots of fun things into your time in Paris if it is short. You need to do the things which enchant you in the city of Romance.

One of the best and most exciting quartiers in Paris is the Rive Gauche and it is an incredible place to visit as well as stay over. Try to avoid going on a Sunday/Monday, as many of the shops and other attractions are closed.

Find some lovely places to eat and don’t whatever you do eat in the Brassiers, these have mostly been taken over by food chains and the food is not good at all. You are only in Paris for a short while, so make sure you eat real French food.

Seek out privately owned and managed restaurants, these still have their integrity and are a much better option. Believe it or not one of the best restaurants is a postage stamp sized bistro called Le Timbre, owned and managed by Chris Wright from Manchester of all places. He is a self taught chef who cooks for as many as 24 people with absolutely no help, La Cerisaie is another good suggestion, they cook pork in a regional way, and you have never tasted anything like their cochon de Bigorre.
